The Ubiquiti UniFi Express (UX) is a robust and compact UniFi Cloud Gateway combined with a WiFi 6 access point, designed to manage entire networks or simply serve as an access point. This device offers built-in WiFi 6 with 2×2 MIMO technology, ensuring efficient and high-speed wireless connectivity. It covers an area of up to 140 m² (1,500 ft²) and can connect over 60 WiFi devices simultaneously.
The UniFi UX features one Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) RJ45 WAN port and one GbE RJ45 LAN port for network extension. Additionally, it includes a 0.96″ LCM status display for easy monitoring. Its compact form factor, measuring 98 x 98 x 30 mm and weighing 302 g, is housed in a polycarbonate enclosure. The UX also supports a USB type C power method (5V DC/3A) and has a maximum power consumption of 10W.
UniFi UX’s supports WiFi standards 802.11a/b/g, WiFi 4, WiFi 5, and WiFi 6, alongside advanced security protocols like WPA-PSK and WPA-Enterprise (WPA/WPA2/WPA3). It provides advanced QoS with per-user rate limiting, guest traffic isolation, and can handle over 60 concurrent clients.
The UniFi Express also supports VLAN 802.1Q and zero wait DFS, enhancing its networking capabilities.
